YFY Launches Smart Warehouse for Corrugated Packaging

2026-08-21

YFY Paper officially launched its smart warehousing project at its Nanjing facility on August 18. The new system connects corrugated board production, automated handling, storage, order picking, shipping, and empty-pallet return in one continuous logistics flow.

Representatives from YFY, the China Packaging Federation, DELIECN, and project partners attended the inauguration ceremony. During the event, YFY Nanjing was recognized as a Smart Warehousing and Digitalization Demonstration Factory for the Corrugated Packaging Industry.

Building a More Connected Logistics Operation

For YFY Nanjing, the project was not simply an equipment upgrade. Its purpose was to improve how materials, information, and warehouse tasks move across the factory.

The solution integrates pallet four-way shuttle robots, pallet latent AMRs, pallet fork AMRs, WMS, WCS, and a 3D visualized central control system. It creates a coordinated workflow from production line output to inbound storage, order picking, outbound shipping, and empty-pallet return.

The system supports more than 3,000 pallet transfers per day and stable 24/7 operation, while achieving zero cargo damage. This gives the factory greater capacity to respond to changing orders, trace inventory, protect product quality, and maintain reliable deliveries.

By connecting on-site equipment with ERP, FEMS, and other information flows, the project also enables production, warehousing, and shipping to operate as an integrated process rather than as separate functions.

Turning Warehouse Data into Operational Insight

A key part of the project is the 3D visualized central control system based on digital twin technology.

The platform displays equipment locations, task progress, inventory status, material information, fault alerts, and maintenance records in one interface. Operators can monitor and trace each stage of the logistics flow in real time, helping them identify abnormal conditions more quickly and make better-informed decisions.

Historical operating data also supports preventive maintenance and process optimization. The platform provides a scalable foundation for future AI applications in trend analysis, risk prediction, and operational improvement.

DELIECN’s capabilities in software architecture, data interface development, customized functionality, and on-site integration are supported by its CMMI-DEV V3.0 Maturity Level 5 appraisal.

Delivered Three Months Ahead of Schedule

The project required close collaboration among YFY’s management teams, the Nanjing facility, its Taipei IT team, DELIECN, and other partners.

Despite a tight schedule, multiple system interfaces, and demanding implementation requirements, the teams completed the project three months ahead of the original plan.

During the handover ceremony, YFY presented DELIECN with a Plaque of Appreciation, recognizing the project team’s support throughout planning, solution design, implementation, system integration, commissioning, and go-live.

A Practical Model for Corrugated Packaging

The corrugated packaging industry is facing shorter delivery cycles, changing workforce structures, stronger competition, and growing sustainability requirements. These pressures are making connected and data-driven operations increasingly important.

By combining automated handling, intelligent storage, software-based coordination, and real-time visualization, YFY Nanjing has built a more efficient, transparent, and traceable logistics operation.

The project provides a practical example of how corrugated packaging manufacturers can use warehouse automation and digital technology to improve order response, inventory control, quality assurance, and delivery reliability—while creating a scalable foundation for future growth.
