In one DELIECN project for a large-scale Traditional Chinese Medicine decoction pieces manufacturer, the customer needed a smart warehouse logistics system to support large-volume herbal medicine storage, digital inventory management, and efficient goods-to-person picking.
Customer Background
The customer produces more than 2,000 specifications of Traditional Chinese Medicine decoction pieces, with an annual output of about 35,000 tons. As the business continued to expand, the company needed to improve warehouse capacity, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment efficiency.
The project goal was clear: build an automated warehouse system that could support dense storage, batch management, FIFO control, and high-efficiency picking.
DELIECN Solution
DELIECN designed a combined Automated Warehouse Solution with two major systems:
For large material frames. Designed with 2,400 effective storage locations. Deployed Stacker Cranes with single-deep and double-deep fork configurations. Supports loads up to400 kg.
For small-package herbal medicine picking. Designed with 22,000 effective storage locations, using 12 robots, 1 level-changing lift, and 4 high-speed lifters. Supports loads up to 30 kg.
Together, the project achieved 24,400 effective storage locations.
