Tote Stacker Crane ASRS for Small Parts and High-SKU Material Storage

In one manufacturing warehouse project, DELIECN configured a tote ASRS for small parts and high-SKU materials. The system provided 5,336 tote storage locations and supported totes with a load of up to 30 kg.

The tote specification used in the project was suitable for small manufacturing materials, helping the customer separate small parts from heavy palletized goods.

In the referenced manufacturing project, the tote ASRS worked together with the Pallet Asrs to manage different material sizes in one warehouse.

The result was a more organized warehouse structure: heavy and large materials were stored in the Pallet Asrs, while small parts and high-SKU materials were stored in the tote ASRS.

This combined solution helped the customer increase storage locations by 80% and improve operational efficiency by 80%.

How miniload ASRS Works

The tote Stacker Crane operates inside the tote storage area and automatically stores or retrieves totes from rack locations. It works with:

• Tote Conveyors
• inbound and outbound stations  
• WMS
• WCS

When a production or picking task is generated, the system identifies the required tote and automatically transfers it to the correct workstation or outbound interface.
