Why Bulk Herbal Materials Need Stacker Crane ASRS

Traditional Chinese Medicine warehouses usually contain different material forms. Some materials are small and frequently picked. Others are stored in larger batches and require frame-based storage.

If all materials are managed through manual racking, the warehouse may face low space utilization, long handling routes, and difficulty in location control.

A Stacker Crane Asrs supports vertical storage, automatic inbound and outbound handling, and system-managed location assignment. It is especially suitable for bulk materials that need stable storage and traceable inventory control.

Automated Inbound and Outbound

During inbound operation, the frame is placed at the inbound station and passes through appearance inspection, barcode identification, and weighing. Qualified materials are transferred by conveyor to the stacker crane pick-up point. The stacker crane then stores the material in the assigned location.

During outbound operation, the system generates tasks according to storage strategy. The stacker crane retrieves the target material and transfers it to the outbound station through the conveyor system.

This supports automatic handling while reducing manual searching and manual location assignment.
